SGJobseeker Terms of Service

By creating an account or using SGJobseeker, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Where you use the service on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that company.

SGJobseeker operates this hiring marketplace from Singapore for candidates and employers in Singapore.

You must provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us promptly through Contact if you suspect unauthorised access or another security issue relevant to your account.

We may require email confirmation before certain features are available. We may suspend access if we reasonably believe there is a security risk or misuse.

You may use SGJobseeker only for lawful job seeking, hiring, and related marketplace purposes.

You must not:

use the service to post, promote, or facilitate scams, fraud, phishing, or misleading job offers;

create fake profiles, fake companies, or fake job ads, or apply for roles on behalf of someone else without authority;

share login credentials, solicit others’ credentials, or attempt to access accounts or data you are not authorised to access;

scrape, harvest, crawl, or use bots or similar automated means to extract data from the service, except through any documented interface we expressly provide and only within its terms;

interfere with the service, overload it, introduce malware, or attempt to bypass security or rate limits;

harass users, post unlawfully discriminatory, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful content; or

use candidate or employer data obtained through the service for marketing, data broking, or any purpose unrelated to genuine hiring on SGJobseeker.

If you use SGJobseeker as a candidate, you may search jobs, manage a profile, upload résumés, and apply for roles for yourself.

Profile, résumé, and application information you submit must be accurate, complete enough for hiring use, and not misleading.

When you apply for a role, relevant application and profile/résumé information is shared with that employer’s authorised users for hiring.

We do not guarantee that any particular job will remain available, represent a real vacancy at all times, or result in an interview or offer.

You may delete your candidate account in product settings, subject to our Privacy Policy and retention practices.

If you use SGJobseeker as an employer, you may create a company presence, post jobs, and review applicants as supported by the product.

Job ads and company information must be truthful, lawful, and related to genuine hiring needs. You must not post roles primarily to harvest candidate data, advertise unrelated products, or mislead applicants.

You are responsible for your hiring decisions and for how your organisation handles applicant personal data in line with the PDPA and your own policies.

You must only allow authorised team members to access your employer account and applicant information.

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as profiles, résumés, company copy, and job ads).

You grant SGJobseeker a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content as needed to operate and improve the marketplace, including showing it to relevant users (for example, showing an application to an employer).

You confirm you have the rights needed to submit the content and that it does not infringe others’ rights.

This licence ends for future use when content is removed from the service, subject to reasonable backup, legal, and operational retention described in our Privacy Policy.

We may review, refuse, remove, or restrict content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, harms users, or creates legal or security risk.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, abuse the platform, or pose a security or operational risk.

You may stop using the service at any time. Candidate account deletion is available in product settings where offered.

Provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, liability limits once counsel-confirmed, and intellectual property ownership) continue after termination.

SGJobseeker is a venue that connects candidates and employers. We are not the employer for roles posted by third parties, and we do not employ candidates on behalf of those employers.

We do not endorse any particular employer, candidate, job ad, or hiring outcome.

Job content, profiles, and other user content are provided by users. We do not warrant that user content is accurate, complete, or current.

Dealings between candidates and employers are at your own risk. Use common sense, verify opportunities independently where needed, and do not share sensitive financial or identity information with strangers claiming to hire you outside normal processes.

We aim to keep SGJobseeker reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service.

Access may be limited for maintenance, security, capacity, or events beyond our reasonable control.

We may change features as the product evolves.

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, SGJobseeker is not liable for hiring outcomes, user content accuracy, or dealings between candidates and employers.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Singapore law.

Subject to that, our liability for claims arising from the service is limited to losses that are a direct and reasonably foreseeable result of our breach, and excludes indirect or consequential loss such as lost profits, lost data, or business interruption where such exclusion is allowed.

Detailed monetary caps and indemnity wording, if any, should be confirmed by Singapore counsel before publication as final.

Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you acknowledge that policy.

Where these Terms and the Privacy Policy both apply, the Privacy Policy guides how personal data is processed.

We may update these Terms as the product or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.

For material changes, we will provide additional notice on the site or by email where appropriate.

If you continue using the service after updated Terms take effect, the updated Terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the service and delete your account if available.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

The courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the service, without limiting any mandatory rights you may have under applicable law.
